All Decked Out

Christmas decorations brings joy and reminds of the the real reason for the season, Jesus’ brith. This video shows how New York City displays various decorations spread out through Manhattan. The City decorates for Christmas like none other with many giant size lights, ornaments on sidewalks, and full trees. With the culmination of the Rockefeller Christmas tree is the beacon of hope and joy to many.

Where the money is made

The most famous part of Lower Manhattan is probably the Financial district.

This is New York City’s oldest neighborhood but and also one of the more busy due to all the corporate and business nearby.

The name even implies making money and wealth and stability.

Neighborhoods of NYC - Herald Square

Where the local shop

Herald Square in Manhattan is where the local would do most of their clothes and goods shopping. Its where the largest department store in the world is located - Macy’s.

The street along 34th street in this area has a lot of different stores, mostly clothes, shoes and other goods. And nearby there are some restaurants to grab a quick bite to eat.

Neighborhoods of NYC - Union Square

Union Square is where the local hangout

Where the Locals Hangout

If you ask me where the locals in Manhattan usually go to shop, eat hangout or catch a game of chess, I would say Union Square.

This area has a lot of amenities to eat, a theatre to catch a movie and a year- round farmers market.

I started a new Travel Vlog touring series called #Neighborhoods of NYC where we will explore and visit different parts of New York City and check out what history, uniqueness and what makes it an intrigue part of being a New Yorker.

Moynihan Train Hall Penn Station

Don’t forget the Trains!

NYC is not leaving its trains behind! This is the tour of the Moynihan Tran Hall.

This hall is brand new from the old Post office building and is part of the multi billion dollar renovation of Penn Station. The inside reminisces to the old Penn station with the glade roof and Art Deco architecture styling. This hall is mainly for Amtrak passengers. Its a really cool place just to walk through!

New LaGuardia Airport Tour

LGA - Not Bad - Anymore!

LaGuardia Airport was considered among the worst airport in USA for many years. It’s also the closest airport to Manhattan!

The city put in a $5 billion dollar investment to refurbishing and reconstructing the airport including giving it new terminals and offering better experience for its passengers.

LGA is my airport of close among the other NYC Airports ( JFK, EWR, etc) because I lie very close to it in Astoria, Queens. Throughout 2020 I was traveling here and there to various places and I would travel from LGA often. I noticed that the new airport started to open up different areas so I decided to film a video showing how new and unique and different it looks. Let me tell you its great! If you ever traveled through LGA you will not recognize it! You would think you didn’t land at LGA!

Times Square Walking Tour

Times Square - love it; hate it

Every one ought to visit Times Square at least once in their life. The lights the people, the attractions, the billboards all have a dazzle intriguing us in and welcoming folks to NYC for the first time. It definitely leaves an impression and locals hate it.

This is my fist published video on my Youtube Journey Jedi. Its a walking tour of time square form one end to the other. I had filmed this at the beginning the year right before the Super Bowl. The many crowds of people looked like navigating a maze.

Little did we know that once the beginning of March 2020 hit our lives would have taken a turn with the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. You do see that part way through my video the stark contrast between a matter of a few weeks.

Hudson Yards Edge

THe best view of New York City!

Hudson Yards is New York’s newest neighborhood and attraction. The buildings were built on top of the Train yards (Hudson) with a $250 million dollar investment by by Related & Oxford companies.

The ambitious neighborhood shows many new high-rise office and residential buildings and also offers a super luxurious high end mall. On top of one of the first buildings constructed is an outdoor rooftop ledge that sits off the building - yep that’s right it sticks out.

In March 2020 they had opened this ledge to the public and I had the great opportunity to check it out and also film it from all angles.

Ive been to all observation decks you can see in New York and The Edge is my favorite view of all New York City. it offers unparalleled views of Manhattan, New Jersey, Long Island and all its surroundings.
